Otherwise, you may find some useful materials about the teaching of thinking with and about numbers and other useful mathematical objects.
Though I am not a formal mathematician I have dabbled in the art of mathematics and quantification and have been trying to make sense of it to a variety of students within an institutionalized structures (secondary and community college) for too many years.
